“The National Assembly yesterday officially passed the Law on Personal Data Protection, which stipulates that administrative fines for buying and selling personal data may reach up to 10 times any revenues gained from the violation.
The newly adopted law will come into force on 1 January 2026, and was passed with 433 out of 435 deputies (90.6 per cent) voting in favour.
